Santacruzan  at Catitipan

At around 4:00 PM of May 31, 2010, PNP personnel and dependents of PRO 11 Headquarters conducted their own version of “Santacruzan.”  This is traditionally being done by PRO 11 every year to join our country in celebrating the merry month of May and in honoring our Blessed Mother Mary.

SEND-OFF CEREMONY

On May 30, 2010 at 10:00 PM, a send-off ceremony was held at the PRO 11 Grandstand, Catitipan, Davao City for the deployment of two (2) companies of 11th RPSMB personnel to Lanao del Sur for election duties, in line with the special election thereat. PSSUPT ARNULFO R PEREZ, DRDA, PRO 11 led the said activity. On the other hand, PCINSP ALFREDO T MACUA, PRO 11 Chaplain conducted a blessing prior their departure.

Thanksgiving Mass for H.O.P.E. 2010

At around 6:00 AM of May 17, 2010, personnel of PRO 11 Headquarters led by PCSUPT PEDRO U TANGO, RD, PRO 11 attended the Thanksgiving Mass for H.O.P.E. 2010 at Saint Peter’s Chapel, Catitipan, Davao City. This endeavor is in line with the program of the PNP on Post-Election Activities. The said Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr./PCINSP ALFREDO T MACUA, PRO 11 Regional Chaplain.

Clean-up Drive

At around 3:00 PM of May 13, 2010, personnel of PRO 11 Headquarters led by PCSUPT PEDRO U TANGO, RD, PRO 11 conducted a clean-up drive along Buhangin Road, Buhangin District, Davao City, in line with the program of the PNP on Post-Election Activities. The said activity was witnessed by local media personalities. It ended with a ‘’boodle fight’’ at the PRO 11 parade ground at about 5:30 PM of the same date.

Aspirants to become Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs) should not miss the opportunity to fill in the four hundred forty (440) quota of Police Regional Office 11 for the Recruitment Program of the PNP for Calendar Year 2010. PRO 11’s Regional Personnel and Human Resource Doctrine Division (RPHRDD/R1) is still accepting application folders for the recruitment of new Police Officers 1 (PO1s ).

Applicants must satisfy the following general requirements for their appointment to the PNP pursuant to Section 14 of R.A. 8551:
  • A citizen of the Philippines;
  • A person of good moral conduct;
  • Must pass the physical, psychiatric/psychological, medical/dental and drug tests to be administered by the PNP or any NAPOLCOM-accredited government hospital for the purpose of determining physical and mental health;
  • Must possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning;
  • Must be eligible in accordance with the standards set by the NAPOLCOM;
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government;
  • Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
  • Must be at least one meter and sixty-two centimeters (or 5’4”) in height for male and one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (or 5’2”) for female;
  • Must weigh not more or less than five kilograms (5 kgs.) from the standard weight corresponding to his or her height, age and sex; and
  • Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more that thirty (30) years of age.

A salary of P16,378.00/month awaits the successful applicants!

Interested applicants are advised to submit their documentary requirements in four (4) sets/folders directly to the Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division (RPHRDD/R1) not later than April 26, 2010.

SASA POLICE RESCUES A JAPANESE CHILD

Elements of Sasa Police Station, Davao City Police Office led by PSupt Alden B Delvo, COP, successfully rescued late Friday night (April 2, 2010) a two-year-old Japanese child (Tuki Takahashi), who was abducted Holy Tuesday (March 30, 2010) from her residence at Landmark 1, Panacan, Davao City.

Rollete Takahashi, victim’s mother, reported that her child was missing at about 5:45 PM last March 31. A police operation was launched the following day. One Romnick Pepito was invited to the police precinct as he was captured in a video by Rollete as the last man holding the child.

At about 11:45 PM of April 2, 2010, the child was rescued unharmed from the hands of Hera Marie Lacerna, Christine Angel Pepito and Dennis Busco at St. Joseph - The Worker Church, Sasa, Davao City. They allegedly brought the child in the said area upon instructions of Romnick, who is a relative by affinity and a neighbor of the victim.

Cases for Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention have been filed against the suspects in connection with the abduction.

PCSupt Pedro U Tango, RD, PRO 11, lauded the meritorious accomplishment of the operating elements.

Said activity was done simultaneously by all police offices/units in the region.

They were sent to augment the existing number of personnel of different Police Provincial Offices (Davao Sur PPO, Davao Norte PPO, Compostela Valley PPO and Davao Oriental PPO). It was spearheaded by PCSupt Pedro U Tango, RD, PRO 11 and witnessed by local media personalities.
