DNPPO History
![]() The enactment of Republic Act. 4867 dated 08 May 1967, which created the Province of Davao del Norte paved the activation of Davao Norte Constabulary Command. MAJOR FRANCISCO SARROSA PC was the first Provincial Commander of the then newly activated Provincial Constabulary Command from 01 July 1967 to 18 February 1968. Davao Norte lies in the Southern section of Mindanao with its territories bounded on the north by Agusan del Sur, on the west by Bukidnon, on the south by Davao del Sur and on the east by Davao Oriental.
With the passage of Presidential Decree Nr 765 dated 08 August 1975 which constituted the Integrated National Police forces as components of the Philippine Constabulary being the nucleus of the police integration, it led to the organization of Davao Norte Constabulary Integrated National Police Command of which LTC AGERICO N KAGAOAN was credited as the first Provincial Commander/Police Superintendent. Another major historic development was the passage/enactment of RA 6975, otherwise known as the PNP Law of 1991 which changed the Command’s heading or name of Davao Norte PNP Command and LTC RICARDO F DE LEON became the first Provincial Director. With the re-organization of the PNP Provincial Commands dated 22 June 1994 as authorized by the Chief PNP, the Commands heading or name was changed to Davao Norte Provincial Police Command with P/SUPT JOSELITO UY TAN as the then Provincial Director from 26 July 1993- 05 April 1995 and followed by P/SUPT ALEJANDRO M GUTIERREZ from 06 April 1995 to 21 August 1996. |
