Police Regional Office 11 General Information
I. GENERAL INFORMATION Geographically, Region XI is located in the Southeastern portion of the Island of Mindanao. It is bounded in the north by the provinces of Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur, in the south by the Davao Gulf and the Celebes Sea, in the east by the Philippine Sea, and in the western length by the provinces of Bukidnon, Sultan Kudarat and North Cotabato. The region is composed of four (4) provinces and one (1) chartered city, namely: Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Davao del Sur and Compostela Valley and Davao City. It has four (4) component cities: Digos, Tagum, Island Garden City of Samal and Panabo City. Also it has 11 congressional districts and 41 municipalities, and further subdivided into 1,160 barangays with a total population of 4,421,543 inhabitants. It has continuously emerged as the regional hub for education, tourism and businesses such as real estate, agri-business, ICT, mining and other developing industries in Mindanao. It is one of the most favored places for investment because of its abundant natural resources, fertile agricultural lands, a typhoon free climate and most importantly having a relatively peaceful and politically stable environment. Davao City being the center of trade and commerce of the region has ably brought to fore the dynamism and vibrant economy in the region to both local and international investors. II. SITUATION UPDATE Region 11 remains stable, economically vibrant and considered to be one of the major tourist destinations of the country. These contribute greatly to a fast growing economic development most particularly in the agri-business industry, mining, tourism and other emerging investments, although challenged by the intensified atrocities of the Local Communist Terrorists and resurgence of bombing incident and threats perpetrated by lawless “extortionist” group . III. POLICE REGIONAL OFFICE 11 ORGANIZATION PRO 11 is headed by a Regional Director assisted by his two deputies, one for Administration and the other for Operations with the Chief, Regional Directorial Staff who supervises the different directorial and special staffs based within the regional headquarters. In conformity with the geographical subdivision of Region 11, Police Regional Office 11 is composed of four (4) Police Provincial Offices and 1 City Police Office, Davao City CPO has twelve (12) Police Precincts and 2 CMG; Davao Norte PPO has three (3) City Police Stations, 8 MPS and 2 PMG; Davao Oriental has 11 MPS and 2 PMGs; Compostela Valley PPO has eleven (11) MPS and 2 PMGs; and Davao Sur has one (1) City Police Station , 14 MPS and 2 PMGs. Our Police Regional Mobile Group 11 which is based at the Regional Headquarters is composed of four (4) companies. Assisting PRO 11 in accomplishing its mandated mission and functions are the Thirteen (13) PNP National support Units based within AOR, namely: 1. The Regional Health Service11 (RHS 11) 2. The Regional Communications and Electronics Office 11 (RCEO 11) 3. The Regional Intelligence Office for Southern Mindanao 11(RIOSM 11) 4. The Regional Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit 11(RCIDU 11) 5. The Regional Crime Laboratory Office 11(RCLO 11) 6. The Regional Maritime Office 11(RMO 11) 7. The 8th Aviation Security Group (AVSEGRP) 8. The Regional Traffic Management Group 11 (RTMO 11) 9. The Regional Police Security and Protection Office 11 (RPSPO 11) 10. The Internal Affairs Service 11 (IAS 11) 11. The Regional Engineering Office 11 (REO 11) 12. The Regional Chaplain Office 11 (RCO 11) 13. The Regional Finance Service Office 11 (RFSO 11) Likewise, assisting PRO 11 are the three (3) other government Law Enforcement Agencies based within the region. 1.
